Bblb...a Boring Turnoff
matt6677

Does anyone else find BBLB a big turn off these days. The presenters antics are childish and have lost its charm. there is hardly any footage of BB and nothing new is revealed. there was a time when nominations were first revealed on BBLB. Now the timing of the show, the sillness of its presenter (i foget his name but cant be bothered to look for it), the lack of any wothwhile reveals make it a dull show. Anybody thinking the same??

see the thread on this subject yesterday, and the day before, and the day before...

I agree its a very poor show and I am surprised Dermot wants to be associated with such rubbish. I sky plus it and fast forward through all the crap - only worth watching about 5-8 mins of the entire show.

Dermot has had his day completely - he is so banal and pathetic.

The only thing worthwhile about BBLB now (at least, this was the case in BB6, haven't watched it in BB7) is the nominations reveal.

And that is handled stupidly. If Endemol had an ounce of sense they'd broadcast nominations live in a Saturday show or something like that.

childish is an understatement for this show - it lost its way a couple of years ago , never mind this year

Agreed, seems Davina has lost her way also with her totally Lame Interviewing - no wonder her BBC1 Chat show was cancelled!

I only tend to watch the BBLB News part, and skip through the rest at high speed.

It's terrible, I only really watch it for the nominations. I dislike it even more since Dermot's pathetic fawning over Grace.

From what I've seen, Big Mouth is the better show anyway. They could easily combine the two and let Russell front it. I know that would mean shafting Dermot, but, well, they'd free up some wages to hire some more creative staff...

Shame really as I used to really like Dermot but now he has really lost the plot, I actually think the show is just so bad that it will damage his furture career.

I see BBLB as firmly geared towards the younger viewers of BB, and like others here I tend to only pay attention during the live nominations sequences. But if you look on it as a Childrens BBC version of a BB show, it's something you can keep on in the background while you listen to all the silent bits on the live streaming

100% fully agree and do the same with Sky+

Actually, I agree with this. I used to really like Dermot in earlier BBs and thought he was a breath of fresh air and always more chirpy and common-sensical than the Shouty-Lady-who-shall-not-be-named. But in BB6 you could really tell he couldn't be bothered anymore and his heart wasn't in it. There's no drive there anymore when he fronts BBLB. If his fawning over Grace was as accurate as some FMs describe, it just sounds like he's embarrasing himself everytime he steps in front of the camera.

If you don't like it, don't watch it. I don't like Corrie, but I don't watch it and then go on Corrie forums complaining about it. Seems like a huge waste of time to me.

People have every right to slag any programme off. We are perfectly aware that we don't have to watch it.

I think BBLB is particularly vile thesedays. A great shame

Since it's a part of the Big Brother thing, it's understandable to complain about BBLB, since it's covering a topic we're interested in.

I think people are allowed to have opinions - I love BB but think BBlB is rubbish - it used to be better.......its easy to say 'turn it off'

best one by far was BB2 (the first ever series of BBLB)when they were still filming the house at the Lee Valley studios and Dermot would quite often be out on the roof or the terrace or something and you'd get passers by gathering down on the path below them to watch what was going on (not the carefully selected audience members of today). Of coruse naturally it was fresh and young (as was Dermot!) and was a great novelty and exciting addition to the main show. I just get the impression now that Endemol feel obliged in some way to wheel it out every year without considering where it is going or to whom they are aiming it at. I think Dermot is a bit of a one trick pony anyway. He hasn't been particularly successful on other TV shows he has done (remember that one where people had to go without sleep for several days? I fell asleep watching that one!) and his series about the SAS survival tactics or something. He doesn't work too well on the radio either.

Agreed. I also liked it when DAVINA used to actually talk to the friends and family on eviction night? Remember the good old eviction nights?

*sigh*
