Hi all

I just got an application form for Morrisons today. I'm looking for anyone that has applied for a job at Morrisons that may be able to help me fill it out. The main form is asking for a "job title." I'm interested in any retail jobs, working at a till/shelf-stacking etc..I'm just not sure what I should put down for that part. Should I just put down "retail jobs" or "store assistants?" I've tried contacting the local personell dept today by phone, but they are extremely busy.

Does anyone who has sent in an application form, know how long it takes to process the application?

I'm 17 right now.

If anyone can give me any advice to help fill in the form I'd appreciate it, thanks.

hiya,
just apply for store assistant. i apllied ofr morrisons a couple of years ago and it took aroud a fortnight. i failed because i failed the 'health' section

I used to work at Waitrose as a shelf stacker and my official title was Supermarket Assistant. But on my application form i said shelf stacker and it was fine.

Just general CV advice - make sure your spelling and grammar are good. I know it sounds basic, but even some graduates fail to run a spellchecker over what they've written, so I'm told.

More specifically, if you want to be out on the shop floor or think you might be interacting with customers at some point, try to demonstrate that you're friendly and/or helpful. That will make some customers want to come back, which is a good thing.

You could try customer service/store assistant in the job title bit.

Hiya, I applied at Morrisons two years ago now, and all I wrote for the job title section was Morrisons. If I remember rightly it only takes a couple of weeks to process the form, but you should be called in for an interview before that time.
During the interview they asked me what job I wanted to go for, and the hours I wanted to do and experience, etc, etc. So once you've filled out the form, the rest of the process is pretty much straight forward.

When I worked for Safeway, their shelf stacking jobs were known as "Ambient Replenishment Assistants"
