I used to love pop music and listened to the Pepsi Chart all the time. I moved out a few months ago and in with my mate who likes, of all things to contrast with, death metal and basically anything noisy like that.
But at least I've seen that there's more to music than the radio.
I got hold of Lemon Jelly - A Tune For Jack, which I think is funking amazing and I have filled my MP3 player with chilled out music like this.
Lemon Jelly did a Breezeblock session (which I believe plays on Radio 1) so I went in search of Breezeblocks by other DJs and got hold of Avalanches 33 minute mix which I think is cool.
My question is, what really chilled out tracks do you listen to?
I also like Supercollider, Zero 7, Utah Saints (of all things), The Orb, Tupac Shakur, Primal Scream, Groove Armada, Red Snapper, Moloko, Morcheeba, Massive Attack and S Club Juniors*.
* Damn, I am trying to shake my pop-trash past. I really am trying!
