Help with Motorola Phone - how do I get rid of the 'Line 1' text on my screen?
Hi,
I've just bought a Motorola c118 mobile phone. On the main screen I have the clock, O2-UK network symbol, and also text that says 'Line 1'. I know what this means, but I was just wondering if anyone knows if this can be taken off the main screen? I've had a look in the settings but I can't see anywhere to take it off the main screen. Any help would be very good, thanks

I don't know how to get rid of the text altogether, but you can make it read something else such as your name. This is if your phone has a similar menu system to my old Moto.
To do this, go to Menu, Settings, Phone Status, then to My Tel. Numbers. Here you can change the Name of Line 1 to something like your name, and add your own number. Only the name will show instead of the default Line 1 title on the main screen. As for getting rid of it totally, I've not managed it to date. Hope this helps...

Damn it! I've got another problem now; on the main menu there is an option called 'More' and in there I am able to choose a screensaver for my phone. I can choose from None, Clock, Motorola Bat Wings, and Tropical Fish. No matter which one I choose, the Clock screensaver always appears. Even if I select Tropical Fish, it won't work - the Clock screensacer just shows up after 1 minute. What's happening?!

I think I had this problem too. Can't quite remember how I got around it. I think it was someting to do with the backlight settings were set shorter than the screensaver time out. So the backlight went out before the screensaver came on.
They don't like making things easy do Moto...

They don't like making things easy do Moto... ![]() It's too complicated this thing, for such a 'simple' phone. I think I'm going to send it back and get the Nokia 1100 instead.EDIT: I just turned 'Battery Save' off, and now the screensavers work. I wish they'd say this in their user guide
