Even if you don't particularly like the X-files, it may still be worth getting down to Dixons, Currys or PC World tomorrow and getting a copy of this as they have (mispriced?) it at 19.99 on their computer systems - the boxes are still marked @89.99 but when they scan they come up the lower price

if they don't have any in these stores (probably been snapped up by members of the dvdforums!) it may be possible to get somewhere like comet/woolworths or asda to price match (when they phone they will most likely be told the price on the computer, which is what you want) or they may possibly do it anyway if you take a printout of the receipt below (not my own)

pc world receipt

i got a couple of copies and my bro got one here in oxford today, so both currys (cowley and botley rd) and comet (cowley) don't have any i'm afraid - but it may be worth trying comet botley rd and dixons (because it wasn't open today) or woolworths (i already got a couple of alien box sets from them for 20 quid a when they misadvertised it a couple of months back and dont particularly want to victimise them!!)

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Actually only certain stores had it in the offer, my local Breahead and the other in this area Glasgow, both had it for sale at £90.
When I showed them the Printout of the reciept they told me that that was a English and Irish offer only and us Scot's had to do without. Suffice to say on Tuesday I will be making a complaint to there head office.

sorry guys - it only lasted a few days (26th to 28th - or whenever the other dvdforums members had cleared out their local stores!), although i have heard that a very few stores still have it @19.99 but have no idea whether this is true/which ones they are

although the dixons/currys staff i spoke to tried to insist it was a clearance price i am sure that it was simply someone mispricing it at 19.99 when they were changing other dvd prices to 19.99 for their buy 2 get 1 free offer.

apparently some people were able to get asda to price match the receipt up until yesterday when their head office sent a memo out to the stores saying that people doing it were part of an internet fraud ring or something ?! - simply because they asked if they would match a receipt price

btw - i'm pretty sure that some scottish forum members were able to get the box sets, it may be just that you got there too late

I phoned PC World who appologised and told me to get in touch with the shop's if they have it in Stock to tell them That I had phoned before and was lied to and they would have to sell it at £19.99 to me BUT he did say that they had made a mistake in the Price and it should of been £89. all along.
