It's not bad, the lyrics could be improved though whats with the whole "murrrdererrr" bit. Too OTT

I think it's really good, but I agree about the lyrics being OTT.

It has nothing to do with Rhianna ...

I have heard Christina Millian has been dropped by her record company because she refused to record SOS and then, the track was made by Rhianna.

Oh really, I was just thinking the other day that they have really similar voices.

And I see what people mean about the lyrics of unfaithful being OTT, cause I thought that too to begin with but after hearing it all I think the ideas quite good, and its a surprisingly good song.

Very strange release, the tunes ok but not the right release for her after SOS and as summer is on us. She should have relased a catchier, upbeat tune. Not a tune about causing murder due to cheating. Weird.

I read this when she was dropped too! I'm glad Christina didn't record it -- loathe that song, and I really like that she refused...hopefully she told LA Reid that it was garbage

Hopefully she's find a good home @ another label, Def Jam were so crap about promoting her albums!

Rihanna strikes me as ultra-disposable and seriously, 2 albums in the space of what, 8 months

Does anyone remember Rhianna? Much preferred her

Sounds like a poor version of Ricky Martin & Xtina's 'I don't wanna be lonely no more'.

She's singing about not wanting to break her man's heart though she's cheating on him.Well stop shagging about then you stupid tart!

Oh so true!

The horribly confused and contradictory world of "R & B" ladies and gentleman

story of my life

searching for the right

but it keeps avoiding me

TBH I always thought Rihanna lacked any real vocal skill but I heard her singing on AOL sessions and she killed it. She sounded exactly like the song does.

It's being totally overplayed on the music channels already.

I really love this song. It was written by Ne-Yo and I can actually really imagine it being one of his own songs on his album...must have just decided to give it to Rihanna instead.

Im really loving this song.

I remember when i first got her new album "A Girl Like Me", and as soon as i heard Unfaithful, it sent shivers down my spine (if you know what i mean... hair standing on end type thing). Really chilling song!

I can't believe her vocal ability, she's damn amazing at singing! Couldn't believe it when i heard she's only 18

SHes had two albums in 8 months because she has such talent and recorded too much for a single album last time. The first album was rushed out to get her out there and then the second album is just a continuation.

Her record label seem to love her and she is getting quite a big push. Makes a change for an artist to be pushed by a label rather than made to stay on a single album bringing out single after stale single for over a year.

Love the song by the way.
It may not be summer but doesn't mean that it can't be released and do well.

Don't see anything OTT with the lyrics? She doesnt want to kill his love. If she did she would be a murderer of love so she sings she doesnt want to be a murderer.

Hope it does well

I really liked it on first listen but the more you listen to it the more you realise she really can't sing that well. She strains her way from the second verse on......!

So much talent they couldn't deprive us of a second album so soon eh?

So much talent that Def Jam wanted Christina Milian to record "S.O.S", and only gave it to Rihanna once it Milian rejected it?

Sorry I don't mean to make light of your appreciation for her, but *IF* she had an amazing voice, and her style just wasn't for me, fine - but her vocals really aren't great.

Anyway, my original point was more that she only had 2 singles from album #1 "Music of the Sun" -- the second single "If It's Lovin' That You Want" was a flop (#36 on the BB Hot 100, #99 on Rap/R'n'B) -- and then stopped promoting the album altogether.

Now, if she had GOOD material to cover two albums, fine -- but it just reeks of rush-to-market tactics, which left her with (one has to assume) nothing better than "If It's Lovin'..." to choose as a second single, which is reinforced by the fact they didn't try to market any other songs off "Music of the Sun", they just gave up!

Makes a change for an artist to be pushed by a label rather than made to stay on a single album bringing out single after stale single for over a year.
In my opinion, artists should feel happy with each album that they can release certainly 3/4 singles to promote it. I'm not suggesting spend forever flogging a dead horse, but if the opposite is Rihanna/Def Jam throwing albums out with one big song to carry it and screw the filler tracks -- then I'll take the former every time. I just dislike artists who seem to be releasing albums on a conveyor belt. It raises the question of quality every time.

Anyway back on topic - "Unfaithful" isn't a bad song, but really needs a strong voice to carry it, which Rihanna just doesn't have.

Anyonr see this performed on GMTV the other day... The girl is not that musical. She was out of time to the backing tape (I assume) on several occasions.

She is also quite hard to understand, diction is awful.

Me thinks her obtaining a record contract was for reasons other then of the musical variety...

(come to your own conclusions)
