What benefits will this firmware provide? Will it keep the settings during the upgrade or is it a fill in the blanks from scratch job?

As it's from BexTech I assume it's not going to lock an unlocked PAP2 down to Vonage or something .

What bug is this, this one fixed the bug I had in .10, no problems so far.

It will keep the old settings, this fixes some bugs from previous revisions, the one I had in .10 was you couldn't enter the setup via the phones themselves when you entered **** the PAP2 reset itself.

Was the PAP2 you have one that was bought as a NA/EU/UK model or a Vonage model that you unlocked?

The bug relates to the Elapsed Time: located in the info, this tells you how long your device has been on/online.

It never seems to go over 24 hours and if it does not for long. The longest I have had is 1day 12:03:05

I have a PAP2-NA, I am not the only one who has this problem with the latest firmware.

As I said it is a small bug!

Have to say, I don't often look at the elapsed time, I just have it set up and use it.

If you only use your pap2 with one provider it can come in handy as it can be used to identify if your voip provider has gone down without you noticing!

Wouldn't it be easier to look at the led or pick up the phone? Or do you mean after the event?

After the event, unless you sit in front of your pap2 24 hours a day that is no good!

anyway it's only a small glitch everything else works as it should, I have been using this firmware for around three weeks now!

I'd been on holiday for a while and hadn't been checking.

Do you use the Pap2 Yahoo group?

My PAP 2 Firmware Version is 3.1.3(LS). Is this an older version than the new one on release? I have downloaded the 3.1.12(LS) version, so if this is the latest release how do I update my PAP 2?

Yes, the Firmware I posted is the latest version, your current version is quite old.

The easiest way is by using my first link.

Code:
http://your_pap2_ip_address_here/upgrade?http://www.southeastbirmingham.co.uk/PAP2.bin
You can find out what your PAP2 IP address is, if you have forgotten by dialling on one of the attached phones **** then 110#

Thanks for the link Bextech. It's updated my firmware now but I've not noticed anything different!

Anyone here using Linksys PAP2T and successfully set it up for BT broadband Talk. My Home Hub died after only 4 days and while waiting for replacement I've been trying to set up BT Broadband Talk on PAP2T with Linksys WRT300N and Zoom X4 ADSL modem. I have gathered and entered loads of settings in PAP2T, done the instructed port forwarding on Linksys WRT300N but only ever get a "cant log in to server" message in the PAP2T info page. Any advice much appreciated.
