Has anyone noticed how the british soaps all have one bad villain whereas you never see a villain in any of the austailan soaps. For example eastenders has got Trevor and Family Affairs has got Pete Callan. But look at austrailian soaps like home & away and neighbour you don't have anyone like that.

I know, why do British sopas need villains? They are hardly high drama and don't even compare to the regularly unrealistic US Soaps.

It's simply because bad guys are better for ratings than good guys.

Mitch is a bit of a villain in Neighbours.
