Hi, if you own a DVR-440HX-S could you please tell me if there is any other difference between this and the 540HX appart from the size of the hard drive? The Pioneer site is a little confusing and says that the 540HX has digital and analogue EPGs while the 440HX only has an analogue EPG. Is this true?

thanks in advance

it look like both 440 and 540 are same with Digital and Analogue EPG cos when you see HX-S meaning its digital /analogue tuner but ask Pioneer tech support as you know when you see website page that sometime make mistake or forgot to put "Digital" on it

I looked up the manual and it marked 540HX-S and 440HX-S that just one manual for both recorder but if you want make sure then ask Pioneer tech support on: http://www.pioneer.co.uk/uk/content/...t/contact.html

Both models come with both digital and analogue tuners.

They also both come with two digital EPGs: GuidePlus (which is received through the analogue ITV channel (or Eurosport on Sky) and which covers the most common digital satellite / cable channels), and the Freeview one which is received through the digital tuner.

OK - I'm convinced the '440 is for me. Only remaining question is where I buy it and in particular where I can get it turned on for multi-region DVD play. Any experience in this regard?
