Pioneer DVR530-H and Thomson DSI4214C Sky Box - G Link Problems!!!
Hi,
I've just got Sky (not Sky plus) and I am having problems getting Guide+ to work. When I set up the external receiver as 'Sky Digital - Sky Digital' the G link tries to change channel but sends strange signals ie 1003 instead of 103 for ITV & 3001 for 301 - Sky Movies 1. I've checked the guide plus website and they don't list the Thomson box as supported, or unsupported for that matter. Is there another setting that I can set the Pioneer to use that would send out the right signal? Thanks for your help! |

D, it's gone a bit quiet on here of late with the 410/530/630 models (probably because they have been superceided). You maybe better off asking Pioneer directly by logging a call or phoning If urgent, let us know the answer incase others drop by.

Sorted
On the Gemstar website they list the following procedure as an 'alternative setup' - basically set the PVR and sky box up 'as normal' but set the external receiver to 'none' in the guide setup. This will then download the latest list of codes etc for all set tops (i'm paraphrasing a lot here!).
The long and the short of it is that it now works! Lessons learnt - RTFM
