Indeed, but as you modification was pure pedantry I thought it amusing that you had actually made an error of fact in what you said.

You really do like to do just what you accuse others of, but in spades

In this case, assumptions:
What makes you think I was a BT customer when they made the change - or indeed that I am now?
What makes you think I was even living in the UK?
All this is irrelevant, of course. BT know perfectly well that people do not read all the bumph they are bombarded with.

Elementary logic really isn't your strong suit is it?
How can I be complaining about the charge if I don't know about it?

Or I was with NTL, or living abroad - you really do like to make assumptions, don't you?

Bingo - I think the lad's got it!

Oh dear. A promising start, but then he fumbles the ball.
No, the analogy was that there was no notice, just a sign that flashed up after you'd taken the trolly and moved out of eyeshot.

Perhaps you should spend a little time understanding BT's charging structure before you start pontificating on here.
BT charge just over 5p for each connexion.

“If you don't want to pay the connection charge, just dial the number yourself”
“If you don't want to pay the connection charge, just dial the number yourself”
Which, of course I have been doing since well before the charge was introduced since I use 18866/1899.
I was complaining about the fact that BT's scumbag antics are conning a lot of people - and often the old and vulnerable.

“Why not, they used to be free and the operator used to connect you for free too? As you clearly don't bother reading the literature sent to you advising amendments to charges, I'm surprised you realised there is now a charge.”

Even BT couldn't keep that charge quiet!
I virtually never use DE anyway - can't remember the last time I did. Even then I did it free on the 'net.
