Any Orange workers have any idea when this will be launched and a rough price? Can upgrade anytime but been waiting for this phone for a while now and now it's been taken off the website, gutted!

Quote on orange intranet:

Launch is expected during June 2006 . . . although this is subject to change....

Hopeless

Spoke to Orange today and they now say it's not being released, but it can be got through CPW as an Orange upgrade. How does that work then? Seems if I want it I'm going to end up with a shitty tariff?

If you get one from CPW it will be generic, unlocked, have no settings preset for Orange MMS or GPRS and will no doubt be pricey.

PS: You won't be able to get Orange Care on it either.”

I was waiting for this phone for ages too. Finally got fed up after a number of calls to CS and they couldn't give me a timescale for release. I eventually just got my PAC and got it free from e2save for £35 a month on O2.
Got it a couple of days ago and so far I think it's brilliant. Still using my Orange SIM in it until my number switch goes through next week.
I've been an Orange customer for 8 years and they didn't really pull out the stops to keep me.

Tell us the juicy gossip, why can it not be released? Did orange screw the firmware up like they have done with every one they ever launch? except this time they put a bit of code in that made porn pop up?

No. Actually, this was nothing to do with Orange software going wrong. Look at the 6280. We launched that in a Generic style to start with until our own were ready. The N91's were a different ball game.
