The video that always gets me going is Johnny Cash - Hurt.
Its powerful enough without the fact that his wife died not long after it was made and he didnt last much longer.

I know. I don't mind admitting that it's one of the things that gets me choked up, even now.

That is one of the most amazing videos ever. Sad as well when you know he died not that long after it was made. Like somebody said, very powerful.

Indeed, It was strange that Jonny Cash would choose to cover a legendary Nine ince nails song at the time he did. Whats more Jonny didn't trivialise it in the least bit, his version has all the meaning and sinserity as the Nine Inch Nails Original.

I have to agree totally about "Hurt" by Johnny Cash. Truly powerful.

Both Hurt & Teardrop are great videos. I saw one of those behind the band shows on Massive Attack once & they said they spent weeks working on the video for Teardrop, only for the computer to crash & lose everything a couple of days before they had to finish it. So what we see as the actual video now was just a mad rush job done in a few days!

Runaway Train by Soul Asylum is one of the saddest videos ever. All through the video it shows pictures of missing persons and the end is enough to want to make you cry.

It really is so very sad, the low piano bit at the end is just haunting. The hair on my neck and arms stand up every time I see it!

Teardrop is a great song, one of my faves by Massive Attack. It is also the theme for House M.D. in the States.

No, the final scene of the film Bicentennial Man is the saddest.
