Inactive Sim Problem on New Sony Ericsson K800i

I've just coughed up £49.99 for the new Sony Ericsson K800i but I'm having problems with it already. As it is a 3G phone, I have received a new sim along with the phone. I've inserted the sim but when i turn the phone on it says inactive sim?! Any ideas? Good old o2!!

Cheers,
Paul

Usually SIM Free around two to three months after Pay Monthly launch. Pay & Go usually around five to six months after Pay Monthly launch - the K800 might never make it to Pay & Go yet so you never know.

Thank you! however... what? it might not make it to pay and go? why? does this happen often? hmmm, but i am sure contract people will just sell brand new handsets they get on eBay as usual? lol.

Some mobile phones are never made available on Pay & Go. Such as the Nokia 8800, Nokia N70, Nokia N91, Sony Ericsson P900 etc - the people who have these mobiles on Pay & Go have mostly bought them SIM Free or they are old contract mobiles.
