What software are you using to convert files?
It's possible that you have the bitrate set too low for the conversion. If you set it high enough, the quality shouldn't change when you convert them from one format to another. There's free music player software for S60 smartphones (the 6600 is an S60) called Oggplayer: http://symbianoggplay.sourceforge.net/S60MMF.html but you have to convert MP3s into Ogg files, which take up less room without losing quality. |

Search for and download an application called UltraMP3. I had it on my N-Gage which is a Symbian phone like yours

I use the Nokia Multimedia Converter to change the file type. My girlfreinds mobile plays mp3 (sony ericsson) and the sound quality is much better on her phone.
I convert the songs at the highest bitrate possible. I search for the mp3 player you mentioned but its not a free player it seems .Thanks for the information though ![]() I will check the Oggplayer out |
