I Think My SIM is broken
Hi,
ive got a nokia 6280 on 3, when i first got it, it did this annoying think of recognising the SIM i tried my sisters 3 SIM And it worked so my 3 sim wouldnt and my sisters would... eventually it worked! but now, 4 weeks later, it wont recognise the SIM and my sisters 3 phone wont recognise the SIM whereas before it would.. so i think the SIM Is broken, which is annoying because it has some credit it on and all my contacts! is there anything i can do to fix it, could it be the phone problem? or do i have to go to a 3 store and ask them to fix it? Thanks in advance |

You'll need to ring 3 Customer Services and tell them that your SIM card isn't working. Tell them that you've tried it in another 3 phone.
They will then know that the problem is with your SIM card and they'll send you a new SIM card FREE of charge (tell them that you want to keep your current number) and you'll get a new working SIM card with the same number and you'll have your credit on it that you didn't use. They might ask you a few security questions first, such as when you activated your SIM (rough date or month) and possibly one of the numbers you have called in the last 30 days. Your contacts won't be tranferred though but with modern phones - such as your 3 phone - you can store your contacts to your phone instead of SIM. Maybe if you're lucky your numbers will be on your phone and you'll be able to access them when you get your new SIM.Hope this helps, sorry it's a bit long
