Motorola Mobile Phone Repair
Hi I need advice on what to do with a problem regarding Motorola mobile phone repairs.
Basically to cut a long story short I had a Motorola V3i that I sent off for repair under warranty. They received it last Tuesday and still I have not received the phone back from being repaired. Before I sent it off they said it would take 5 working days so I rang Motorola up today and they said they are awaiting a part to be sent to fix the phone, they dont know how long this will take so they said to ring back on Monday so that they can chase it up. Firstly do you think I should ask for a replacement phone to be sent out or if they cant do that, ask for a loan phone sort of thing? Also are there any set rules for the maximum amount of time a repair should take? Thanks |

ive had some take 3 months???
usually because the repair center are only allowed to repair upto a certain level then it goes back to the factory you could ask them for a loan phone but not all places give them -and they are usually something old like 3310 |

I dont really think 3 months is acceptable - I think it should come to a point where they have to replace the phone even if its for a refurbished handset. I can see my repair taking about a month because they don't seem very speedy. Surely they cant expect people to go without a phone for this long?
