Hiya all,

I've just ordered a Nokia 6280......
I was after a N80 but was persuaded to have this one.

Anyone got one?
Are they any good?
What are the faults?

thanks

I have a 6280 on a 18 month o2 contract.
The phone has plenty of features, but the only problem i find is the screen seems a bit flimsy when you slide it.
Other than that a good little phone.

Got the phone 2 months ago but had to send it back 2 weeks later.

Had everything, and was really pleased with it.

It was free but was on 3 contract. I was conned they told us it was £22 a month for 18 months, and then when it arrived it was £22 for 3 months & £44 thereafter which is out my budget.

It is the phone I am going to get when working tho.

You can record up to 2 hours of video using the memory card supplied & it has radio built in plus 2 meg camera.

My phone upgrade is free on my current skodafone contract.

They wanted me to change my price plan but I refused because it's quite a good one.

They did offer me an N80 for £100

I have the 6280 and ignore all the people who harp on about there being software problems - the latest models are all upgraded and work fine.

I have this phone and it's the greatest I've ever had. The picture quality and amazing and the video camera is the best I've ever seen, the playback is just so clear.

The only downside IMO is it feels a bit plasticy. Other than that, it's awesome.

IMHO mate, you've been had.

You're taking a 6 month old phone and missing out on a 3.2 Megapixel Camera, Proper Operating System, Wi-Fi Connectivity (seriously cool), a much higher res screen and other stuff too. You can get a 6280 off contract for around £150 while you can't get a N80 for less than £300.

The 6280 is still a decent phone just not as high-spec as the N80.

If none of these bother you, then fair enough.

While most would probably not see the advantage, I've had the phone less than 2 weeks now and would struggle without it

You do have 7/14 days in which to change your handset.....

well i know a shop which is part of a chain(www.cex.co.uk)which buy old/new phones and he said he is not buying in any more 6280's due to loads of software faults on them but he did not specify which networks so one can only assume it applies to all networks

Probably because most are locked to a network, and only the network can unlock them; hence not easy to sell on.

Have got a few friends who have this phone and can say they are all really happy with it, the screen is superb and the 2meg cam is good to, I have the N80 and it does feel stronger and better built but the 6280 features make up for that.
