Filmfour on Homechoice - will it happen?

I'm really interested in whether Homechoice will carry Filmfour or not. Seeing as they refuse to carry TCM in favour of their terrible fifty films (at least of which you will never watch) for a fiver but still show Cartoon Network.

i think at the moment its 50/50
dont forget that i belongs to channel 4 and going to freeview so all i can say is wait till around the 23rd of this month.
as of tcm it is a subscription channel a(film channel) at that
for what you said they have there own film cannel on homechoice!

I think Homechoice will have filmfour at launch. The have carried other channels that have gone to freeview on the day of launch; itv3, itv4, abc1, more4 (a channel4 channel) often without any mention of them coming.

As for it being competition for their own channels, all I can say is that Sky are carrying it as well as NTL/Telewest. Sky have both subscription and pay-per view channels and NTL/Telewest have their own pay-per view channels too. Not carrying it would make freeview look like an even better option for customers.

Yep, it has to be said HC are pretty poor about announcing this sort of thing - but at least we do seem to get new 'freeview' channels when they launch.

(Kudos for not launching ITV Play though )

Yay! I'm delighted. We were going to abscond to Sky if they didn't have film four but we'll be staying now (for a while at least)!

Do you really expect them to announce it way in advance? HC are nothing to the bulk of broadcasters and it's probably taken them alot longer to secure rights to re-broadcast the channel.

I'm glad they're not announcing things too far in advance as this way we're not being sold something that does not exist.

Like a national roll out. HD. Multi-room etc.
