Of course they would, pretty dumb question really. Elvis was one of the biggest rock n' roll stars of the 50's & 60's.
John Lennon was in 'possibly' the biggest band ever, and one half of one if not the greatest song writing partnerships of all time. Jim Morrison again The Doors one of the best groups of the 60's. So to answer, YES, they still would be very much as famous if they were alive.

I think that Kurt Cobain, although not mentioned by OP, would still be as famous now because in mine and no doubt lots of other people's opinions, he was very talented, his music was original and creative and I think that there should be more bands like Nirvana. I was not always into grunge but Nirvana changed that for me at the time, I am yet to hear a band of that particular genre that I am as keen on.

Regarding Elvis etc, I think he would still be as famous, he was truly inspirational, Jim Morrisson and John Lennon were ahead of their time musically, it is hard to put into words really but i think that all of the musicians mentioned were timeless.

Still famous, but I reckon some of them, Jim Morrison in particular, may have moved away from performing into production which would have made for some very interresting sounding tracks.

Elvis would be old, skinny and in some American Soap opera, playing the Grandad and looking ridiculous with a face lift.

John Lennon would have retired as a musician and lost all his cred by performing at Live8 with Paul McCartney.

Jim Morrison would now be in the Guiness Book of Records as 'The Fattest Man in the World'.

So, they'd all still be famous.

They reckon the Beatles would not have reformed if Lennon was alive, but believed that Lennon and McCartney would have done a few more projects together.

Oh, and thhe Beatles weren't "possibly" the biggest band ever, they were and still are, no one else comes close.
