Hi,

I recently bought a Nokia 3220 thinking that it would suit my needs, but the fact is, I'm missing Bluetooth and Infrared connectivity. I've spoken to Woolworths and they said they can't take the phone back because it's been used and activated.

I need to "break" the phone so that they'll give me refund. I know that some Nokias turn themselves off a lot and then never come back on - does anyone know how to purposefully make this happen? I know I probably shouldn't do this I know, and I know it's my own fault for buying it, but any help with "breaking" it - other than throwing it and damaging it - would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

As that would be illegal I'm not going to risk telling you how to break your phone. What you could do however is stick it back on the box and flog it on ebay. As a rule of thumb, I've found phones on ebay sell for close to their new price on PAYG witha carefully constructed listing so you should be able to get most of your money back.

Next time, I'd recommend buying froma retailer that has the phones available to test or even better, from an online store. If you buy online you get the 14 day home approval period as per the distance selling act.

hi, how long have you had it?

If its longer than 28days the shop are allowed to try and fix the phone or give you a replacement, a refund is normally the last thing that they will do.

If they didnt have one to replace it in stock, you might get a refund then.

regarding "creating" a fault, thats a bit of a no no, i wont tell you how fault your phone, sell it on ebay, you should be able to recoop the cost
