02 - Trouble with WAP ......
Hi
I have been messing around with my phone ( 6230i ) on a o2 contract phone trying to get the new Sky+ recored thing to work. But i have done something that has made the WAP stop working and also i can not sent Mutimedia messages now which i could before. I been on 02's sit and sent the stuff to reset the phone nbut it hasent seemed to work. Any ideas how to fix this? Thanks |

Try downloading the settings from here.
http://www.nokia.co.uk/nokia/0,,77073,00.html You have probably deleted, edited or changed your your WAP / MMS profiles. Sending settings as per above link should resolve it. If it doesn't post back. |

What does the phone say when you try and connect to WAP and MMS?
I dont have any menu maps here for your phone, and don't own any Nokia's so the steps below may need adjusting to suit the particular phone. From main menu select Internet / Web button Within this you are looking for Configuration settings. Within this option you should have some Profiles. Select the profile that says O2 GPRS WAP and select the button that makes this default. Try again. If this doesn't work you will need to go back in as above however this time check all the settings one by one. Common mistakes include people putting the number 0 for o2 instead of the letter o. Also using comma's in URL's etc. So basically have a look through and make sure the IP address is there, the home page, the username the password, connection type etc. For MMS you usually go to main menu. Select Messages Dependant on phone its either settings here, or you have to go into MMS and then select settings. Once in settings somewhere will be a list of profiles. You want to default the O2 MMS profile. Again if this doesn't work you need to check the profile to make sure everything is there. If all else fails you really need to call o2 as you need to tell them what you see. Usually the only reason the settings dont work from website is because people don't activate them. |
