I have just recieved a N80 from Orange and have a few questions.
I have downloaded a few games which are Java games I think off the web, but when I run them only the top quarter of the screen is used to display the game. Why is this?.

Also within the Box with the N80, I recieved the head phones, charger, device to change charger size to the older nokia and also another device which fits into the headphones socet what is this for can't find any reference to it in the manual.

Finally, if I am looking to download games from the web for it, should I go for Java or the other?

The games which are appearing in the top quarter of your screen are the wrong type of games for your phone; they're for Series 40 Nokias (128x128 display) - yours is a Series 60 phone. Search for Symbian games and you'll get the right ones.

I can't tell you what the other device is, what does it have on it?

The extra bit you have found is probably an AD-15, which converts the N80 pop port to a headphone jack, so you can use a normal set of headphones (giving much better sound clarity)

My symbian is a good source

You're looking specifically for symbian series 60 3rd edition, anything earlier may not be able to take advantage of the higher screen res but in general all symbian series 60 should work pretty much okay.
