Got recorder recently and when its in standby mode I get diagonal lines on my sky reception. Could it be caused by rubbish scart leads or does anybody know how to stop this ?Thanks

Recorder is connected to tv (scart socket) and sky box connected to the recorder (line3 scart socket).
I have a 510 with an old (1998) Pace sat box conected via the line 3 input.
I have two Scart inputs to the TV. The first is directly fed from the sat box the second is fed from the Sony 510. I have noticed when the Sony is off/standby and if I am still watching the TV from the second input I do get a slight oscillating background line passing from top to bottom. This is fixed by switching back to the first TV input which as I said is fed directly from the Sat box.
When I had a DVD recording problem I phoned Sony who were very helpful. UK tel no 08705 111 999 perhaps you could try them if you have no success here.
