Just a quick gripe, does anyone agree that when you buy a film it should have no adverts on it. I bought the above film for my daughter for Christmas and am forced to click though the adverts before reaching the menu.
I would take it back for a refund for some reason, but she enjoys it to much, I can understand adverts on rental copies but this goes to far, I will be thinking twice before buying Disney again. |

Hit your DVD player's menu button to skip them.

i have to say that i think disney are the pits for r2 (when compared to r1 at least - eiv are probably the worst distributor overall)

Jose,
The problem is that my player will not allow me to do that, I have to press chapter forward through each ad. |

Very odd. The menu button works fine on mine.

Hi, I don't personally have any problems with Toy Story (got the better value R1 two disc set) but you may find a good way on some discs to avoid adverts is to press the stop button twice (so the disc stops entirely) and then press the menu button. the menu should then come up. Note that this doesn't work on all discs but does on the majority.
Hope that helps. |

Yes why is it that on DVD's ,the title and chapters can be locked until we've seen the copyright notice or flicked through some ads, why can't the sectors on DVD's be similar to CD Audio or for that matter VHS, where you can go where you want when you want. It is an insult to our intelligence.

I too have the TS2 problem that my player won't let me go straight to the Menu, also while navigating through the menus once in, it takes a lot longer than it should. Very annoying.
I guess they lock the copyright chapters to make us watch them, i.e. now they have the technology so that they CAN, they WILL!! I tend to watch the credits all the way through, but if I don't hit the 'menu' button just before they finish I get a few minutes of screen boards with the disc encoders info on there and other basically pointless info, and they too are locked! WHY!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
