Whilst obviously i'm a big supporter of Aisleyne, Richard, Jayne and other bigger personalities in the house (specifically after Nikki's eviction last week) I have still grown a bit of a soft spot for Big Brother's own Golden Girl.
I have slated Imogen in the past for just being dull: Richard's comments about her never fail to make me laugh. She contributes nothing, suns herself, and sits around smiling, giggling and joining in with the odd bit of bitching (but slips under the radar tending to let the others do more of the talking)
And granted, Susie is by all accounts quite 'dull' in comparisson to some of the more vibrant, entertaining housemates we have seen. But I believe Susie to be very genuine. She isn't comfortable in some of the more bitchy comments made by other housemates, and will say so; telling Richard, perhaps her closest friend in the house, when she feels he's out of line. She is crucial to the running of the house and yet remains very unappreciated; Glyn for example will nominate her for being controlling in the kitchen and being bossy, yet she perhaps does more for the other housemates in terms of cleaning and cooking and such like than any other. She's not lazy like Imogen, she pulls her wait, and whilst she may not participate in all the housemates sexual or immature games she still has a very positive outlook and tries to remain upbeat whilst the other housemates moan and groan.
Yes there was a lot of debate about whether it was rigged for her to get into the house, having been through the audition process, and yes as we know she has acolourful past and is obviously a glamourous woman whose very proud of her achievements and just perhaps wants to show herself off. I believe that even if her husband paid a lot for her golden ticket, she has matched the idea of the Kit Kat campaign; for a seemingly normal person to go into the Big Brother house. I think she's quite refreshing in the house, and whilst granted she doesn't deserve to win, I hope she gets something out of the experience and I really hope she isn't ill recieved from the public simply because she isn't the brash, loud, spontaneous personality of others.
I think we all know Susies in our life, and those people are lovely to have when we want to have a chat about things or just enjoy some quiet conversation! So I salute you Susie (and your tea!). And never did I think i'd be saying that!
