Xbox360 extender ratio problems
I've got a wierd problem when using the 360 as a media extender. Sometimes I get a 4:3 image with borders either side, and sometimes the image fills my 16:9 screen. I couldnt figure an pattern to it until..... (Shamelessly ripped from my post on another forum !)
Right, I've figured a pattern !
Watch SSN and it's fine, change to bbc, fine, change to Hits, fine. Change to either E4 or any of the yank channels like ABC fine. Now if I change from there I get borders on everything until I press stop and change to something like BBC one. Now I'm full screen again until I go to one of the channels like I just mentioned. I can recreate it at will. So it seems the x360s decoder gets confused with something that those channels are submitting. Pressing stop and kicking a proper WS image at it straight after sorts it. Strange eh?
