Not sure if anyone has done this, doubt they have, but I thought I would start a thread for the fabulous Grace. She may be bitchy and two faced and spoilt, but I really like her and think shes a great housemate. Please dont kill me!

How many of them are appreciation threads though? Precious few!

I would argue that these threads;

Gwaaaaaaaaarn Grace! Vive la strong woman.

Grace is a Class Act. Why So Hostile?

New respect for Queen Grace

that I found in a couple of minutes of looking through the search engine, as well as BigMomma's, "Grace Will Win BB7" thread, which can usually be found on the first or second page, are all appreciative enough.

Granted none of them are specifically entitled, "The Grace Appreciation Thread", but I thought the whole point of starting a thread was to introduce a new topic for discussion, not to even up the balance of threads as if they were some kind of benchmark of HMs popularity. The tendency of people to start a new thread every time they want to post a finely nuanced version of an opinion someone else has already started another thread about is precisely why the board is so ridiculously overloaded.

In the case of Grace, it's got so bad that the Search Engine doesn't seem able to register any more threads - its been stuck on 250 for days, even though new Grace threads have been started in the meantime.

True, but you've been around to see those threads happen, and they are the exceptions amongst a lot of hate threads. I think perhaps your ire should be better served at the 246th anti-Grace thread rather than the 5th pro-Grace thread

Appreciation threads that say they are appreciation threads in the title are protected by the DS rules.

Postings attacking the HM aren't allowed.

No other threads, and no number of other threads, are a substitite for a proper appreciation thread.

The beautifully evil spin-master Grace. although I still think she is a loathsome person...... she is BB gold.

Maybe just this once we will let the bad guy's win.

Because it makes the forum unwieldy. It becomes more difficult than it should be to follow a particular discussion, or to spot a good thread to either to join or read and discussions which might go somewhere can get diluted with a million threads all saying much the same thing.

It's a bit like trying to read a good book in the library but finding that the pages have been torn out and scattered all over the building.

Having said that, if what Veri says is true I may have criticised this OP unfairly, for which I apologise. However the general point still stands.

So long have I wanted to post this thread..

She completely 'fooled' the HMs that even after the numpty chants... so few of the HMs turned against her.

I don't give a fig about HMs appearing 'nice'... imo NONE OF THEM ARE...

They are ALL prepared to put their friends, family and lovers up to the most minute scrutiny to cut to an 'easy; talentless road to fame...

Grace was an exquisite gameplayer that played the House like a fiddle only the 'new' HMs and Dickie had a clue...

It's a 'game'... and we have no idea what would have happened if she evaded nomination week after week...

She had 'good' game....

And I 'appreciated' it.

Grace you deserve 'game' apprection imo

regards

Only problem is,most of us would have smashed our tv's if she had remained in the game any longer.

She was lucky she got out when she did.Imagine the level of hate if she was still in there tonight?

I see what you are saying, but I cannot condone anyone who spouts such vitriol. And as for throwing water....until then, I gave her the benefit of the doubt, but that just showed her up for what she is. Need I explain........

Thanks for your response dub... personally I feel that as the HMs were shown to be so gullible week after week... the tide may have changed?

We will never know, because BB has been so ham-fisted in their control of the House ...imo

As a person, I didn't much like Grace. But I will acknowledge that she was a great housemate, and I think she left before her time.

Her almost complete control over a lot of the house shows that the was an incredibly good game player, and really, that's not that bad a thing to be, is it?

It was only, really, her rather personal bitching that I didn't like about her, some of the things she said really were nasty.

Anti-Grace posts, criticism, slagging, etc, belongs in a different thread.

This is an appreciation thread.

Who was Grace again? Hang on, it's coming back to me... erm... Mr Ed... Black Beauty... Red Rum... Oh, yes, I remember now.

I remember in her interview when Davina asked her how many other housemates had been before her, and she stamped out three clops with her right hoof.

I wonder if Grace would still be there, if Susie hadn't come along? I think it's possible. She did have full control over the house, with the exception of maybe Richard, and Pete. Richard (I think) was the first to nominate her. Aisleyne might have not become a strong, central HM, because Grace over-shadowed her, OR she could have become very popular because she didn't get on with Grace and everyone disliked her.

I think Grace's time was cut short. As much as I wanted her out, it would been interesting to see how things could have been if she stayed. She's definitely one of the most memorable of BB7.
