On a positive note, I love the hearts in the title (how do you do them?)

On a negative note, Grace's game plan was crap because the viewing pubic decide who to vote out and she didn't endear herself to the majority.

She may well have lasted a few more weeks without Golden Ticket waste o' space Snoozie, but even if she fooled the Hms into not nominating her, one of BBs crap "all up for eviction" twists would have got her. Sooner rather than later.

I would agree SWW but I think Grace in real life is just as nasty and bitchy as she was in the house and that's why I hated her.

Exactement... veri... indeed after witnessing tha level of OTT animosity to any dissenting voice against tha 'majority'.... I would say the forums are far worse...

It may have been better to go when she did though, I dread to think of the level of hatred on this forum if she had stayed until now. Remember Makosi's eviction???

I disliked Grace personally, but I respected her fearlessness. Unlike the rest of the pansies currently left in there, she wasn't afraid to speak her mind, whether it made her unpopular with the viewing public or not.

For that - I salute her.

It's one of the oddities of DS that "appreciation" threads are reserved for positive comments. Though there seems to be some flexibility (which is good), "anti" posts are out of bounds.

And I would further add that he dousing of Susie, though 'bad'... was just water... and was a result of being exposed not by the HMs... but by BB mis-management... as we may see with Ash next week?

I'd be very surprised if Aisleyne's not up for eviction next week, as she's been placed in pretty much the same position as Grace, really. Susie had to nominate someone fairly soon after arriving, and those chants were more than likely still swimming round her head. Equally, as the gameplans come closer to fruition, people will try to get rid of opposition, and I think they'll vote for Aisleyne this week.

Of course, with it being a double eviction, the pro-Ais vote will be split, and I reckon she'll be gone.

A pity for both Grace and Aisleyne, really.

It's a bad plan if the goal is to win. If the goal is to be noticed, or just to survive as long as possible, it's not so bad.

Also, we didn't get to see how Grace might have changed and developed over the course of the show.

It wasn't really fooling HMs into not nominating her. Grace had a number of positive attributes as well as the negative ones. She cared for HMs who were upset (Nikki and Lisa in particular) (Glyn went to Grace when he needed someone to talk to) (she was a good listener, like Imogen); she helped the HMs pass tasks (organising, encouraging); she had fun; she cooked and cleaned.

Probem is Pooch that neutrals and Nikki fans see 230+ posts about 'praising' John McCririck for slating Nikki!

It's almost like Aisleyne fans are on a different forum imo...


From my viewpoint of reading and seeing many anti-posts... Ash doesn't get it that rough at all...

I happily openly supported Grace at the time... my favorite stick to beat her with was the "babes" issue... I smile to myself to see that still being whinged about...

We obviously see it differently then. I personally don't go into the Nikki threads anymore (she is gone, and i'm glad ) but i know that most aisleyne fans feel very discriminated against.

Example: take pipwoods videos...the one of Nikki...the thread was just FMs saying what a good job had been done. Take the ash thread...it was full of negative comments about aisleyne, regardless that it was a video of her. That blatantly showed that Nikki was allowed a pro thread, but aisleyne wasn't.

Then today we get posters slating not aisleyne, but her supporters, calling them very vile names.

the whole thing is very unbalanced IMO...I stay out of what i can, but it is deffo the aisleyne supporters coming off worse and having to defend their like of a HM.

Another thread today......we were advised to seek psychiatric care for our support of aisleyne.

Sorry, I am ranting now, but I really am sick of the cr@p aisleyne supporters have to put up with, regardless of what they say about aisleyne.

We are always on the defence, while others attack.

Actually, it's not so clear that Aisleyne didn't get along with Grace. They seemed quite friendly on the first spin-the-bottle night and went to the DR together. Aisleyne even had some praise for Grace tonight.

Remember that Nikki and Grace seemed bitter enemies at first and said terrible things about each other; yet they managed to put that behind them.

Now, though, talking with Richard, Ash is saying she'll throw water in Grace's face. Oh well.

She was approachable to the Hms she favoured, this could eventually lead the others to feel negatively towards her.

She was indeed very effective in the tasks/very day issues (the only downside to this was that she could appear overly controlling to those that didn't appreaciate direction).

I didn't agree with the water throwing, but I did think the way she handled the booing, and subsequent interview was impressive. I don't think I would have been able to remain confident in those circumstances.

You have to start the alternate universe from the supposition that normal evictions would have occurred in the GT winners entry week . Grace had 6 votes to put Richard up that week and Aisleyne was top of her target list too.

If those two had gone in weeks 4 and 5 Suzie would have soon followed. Grace's problem would have come with the new HM but she could probably co-opt a couple of them and had the votes to remove any threat.

The upside would have been that Aisleyne wouldn't have been left in the bitch role which frankly she isn't credible in. Its replacing the gameplayer and house leader who happens to be bitchy with what BB seemed to want - Aisleyne - the tough bitch from hell or at least the ghetto - which just jars as bad casting as she cries all the time and is hopelessly indecisive and insecure for the role.

The consequence of those people going would have been a more lively house - less tea and fewer early nights. Grace inclined to organised fun and the people she would have evicted are the ones who insisted on quiet and early nights. That might have allowed HM like Glyn to continue to develop - Grace had Glyn doing cartwheels with her around the garden - he hasn't looked as happy since. Removing Aisleyne and Richard would have produced a less stressed out Nikki - Nikki says she found Aisleyne intimidating - but Grace had the same effect on Aisleyne and kept her quiet until Grace was evicted. Nikki would also have been helped by the fact that Grace actually provided her with the support she wanted. Grace also quite liked Lea - so Lea would have still been there for Nikki too. Grace used to be able to shut Nikki up (actually by just telling her to shut up ranting and then listening to why she was upset) and that - and a more cheerful Nikki - would have probably meant Nikki didn't attract such a negative vote either. Nikki staying, in turn, would have made Pete somewhat more cheerul and left that story to develop rather than join the aborted heap. Grace staying also would have given Mikey a role for 9 weeks as well as giving Imogen a bit more to do.

The only downside would have been that the same story and original cast would have survived longer - which some people might find boring over 13 weeks. The endgame would have been far better than the current one though because what we have now is the latecomers and oldies going out in turn with no real interest when. In Graceland things would now be hotting up as the group were forced to consider which member of the group had to be sacrificed first. Dramatically it would have been far better with the public still deciding who stays.

The only other argument is that they used Grace up early to get her out safely. There is some case for that but they didn't have to do it then and may not have planned to until the plan went wrong. They could have got rid of Grace this week, last week or next by having everyone up if they wanted to rescue her early and with a bit of imagination they could have shown more of the positive things she did for the HM - they did a damage limitation exercise in her last week and showed Glyn and Nikki saying what she did for them and a few more weeks of that and the odd dramatic interlude might have made her safer anyay.

As it is the house has no nominations battle or romance or dramatic storyline still running. Mikey, Imogen, Pete and Glyn have no story and the latest person to have any role stirring it up - Jayne- has just gone too. Richard, Suzie, Spiral and Michael are queued up at the exit door and Pete wins if he is still breathing unless they give Jennie a massive storyline. It could have been much better if week 4 hadn't happened and if Grace hadn't won them over, the people who didn't like her would still have had their big eviction somewhere between weeks 8 and 12.

She may have wanted to win, I agree.


I wasn't thinking of the chants (though their longer-term effects would have been interesting as well) but of what would happen as her role in the house changed (as more HM were evicted) and through interaction with the other HM.


I agree with one qualification: I think she was approachable to most of the HM. Even Richard worked well with her most of the time and would discuss house issues with her.

Grace was this years Makosi except she was too nasty, too soon.

Had she been friendly and funny before playing the game to the full she would have lasted longer like Makosi did.

As a person she was awful, couldnt stand her, entertainment, second only to Nikki(But in different way) As a Game player, best this year I would say

From what I remember, Richard was complimentary about Grace's presence and effect on the house. I don't remember Grace having a major problem with Richard either. After sitting up talking with Richard and Mikey, I remember her agreeing with Mikey that they liked Richard. (obviously opinions change )

This could have made things very interesting. Imogen doesn't like Richard, and this could have created a conflict as Grace never seemed to be bothered about Richard.

Could it be said that grace was more inclined to talk about the other females in the house?

Aisleyne was never going to join Grace's group - she was older, and saw herself as tough and independant and basically isn't a group animal. Grace knew she would side with Richard after the first few minutes. She just wraps it up in personal terms instead of power ones.

Nikki was different . She has this big thing about being mothered - she said it about Grace and even asked Davina if her mother had campaigned to get her out. . Grace telling her to eat her food was on dangerous mothering ground with obvious history. After that though its Grace who looks after Nikki best - Nikki accepts her as a protective older sister and actually does what Grace tells her and she even rejects Lea (who is more mothering) and then allows Grace to sort out her problems for her..

Grace is a strange creature,some people hate her,most people hate her......maybe everybody hates her.
