"Where did you get your 40% churn rate from? you made it up didn't you?
I also like the way you link NTL and Sky as having similar churn, when NTL (19.2%) has twice that of SKy (10.6%) (http://www.ofcom.org.uk/research/tv..._q4/q4_2005.pdf)"

i recently attended a job interview with a company that has a contract for sending reps out to ex customers of sky and making all sorts of offers ie free reinstall place it where you want if that was the prob, several months free etc. i asked what the churn rate was and i was informed that it was at a figure that has sky worried (or why take on this subcontractor?) and was given high 40's as a percentage so make of that what you will

I'll make of it that they were bigging themselves up - if Sky were to lie to the stock market about their churn rate it would cause them some fairly major issues.

Remember Sky are a public company answerable to shareholders and, well, lying to shareholders just isn't an option (see Enron).

The alternative is that over 3.6 million homes cancel Sky every year, and they gain more than this in customers back.... Nah not going to happen
