This may well have been covered elsewhere, but I have to say I don't visit that often, and I have looked around for 20 mins, but can't see anything to help ....

I upgraded JAG's EPG a couple of weeks ago when it expired. All seemed well, until I noticed that my weekday daily recording timer didn't seem to be working properly i.e. some days it seemed to record OK, and others not.

When I look in my list of recorded programmes, often nothing showing ....

I initially thought it was because with the old version, it was happy to have several programmes with the same name without problem, but it seemed as if after recording a daily programme once, it would do no more until tht one viewed and deleted. This opinion changed when I found that viewing and deleting the first one, a subsequent one would then (sometimes) appear.

I have tried to decide what is wrong but have been unable to ponpoint the problem.

The recording seemingly failed gain yesterday, so then today I decided to check what was happening when the timer due, and horay, it WAS recording (although the programme name wrong, but that didn't worry me!!). To further check I pulled up the recording list, and athere it was as being in progress, so to triple-check I started to play it -great! Then the rcording period ended, and as usual the playback stopped and I was dropped back into live TV. No problem, plessed the 'Re-start playback' shortcut key (the one under the rewind key) and nothing happened ..... Mmmmmmm ...

So back into the recordings list and it isn't there!!!!

So where the hell is it?

I am confident now that it IS recording the programme daily, but somehow it is 'hiding' it from me!

So what to do?

Sorry I know zilch about Jags; used it for a few weeks last year but switched to MyStuff when it came out.
Anyway have you tried asking here; that is where the jags experts lurk.

I've just trawled through 9 pages of increasingly technical (confusing!!) stuff, with no apprent mention of my problem.

So I try to post and can't B.well login!

Oh well, I'll have to either hunt around for my registration info OR register again!

Well if you dont find an answer to your problems my suggestion is switch to MyStuff and use eit2mei to gather EPG info.
It looks like latest MS version it is now solid with the new firmware.

There are a few things that jags does which MyStuff does not (and vice versa) but are they vital to you?

As I understand it jags uses a lot of memory and running it with MyStuff plus all the extra memory demands of the new firmware EPG system do not make them an ideal combination anymore.

NB if it is a memory problem I have heard a theory that deleting unused channels helps.

Did you go from ver2.7 to ver3.x?

Yes, I did both JAGs and MyStuff together as both were about to expire - Jags to 3.whatever (I think!)

I have now heard that there is a revised version of JAGS 2.7 with an extended expiry date in November, so I am thinking of getting that as I had no real problems with that version.

Alos I haven't got the Bastille Day update yet as I want to wait for the OTA version (OK, so I'm lazy!).

Whilst I'm at it (as I have to diconnect Toppy and drag it upstairs to my PC!), I'll download eit2mei so that I can try that.

I have to say, that whilst I like the TAP facility, it is a pain to keep having to re-load them, and realistically I am happy with the functionality I now have and can accept the odd happenings!

(Until this latest one - I'm not amused by it at best 'hiding' my daily recordings, or at worst losing them completely!)

So I'll try and get those two TAPS loaded today and then see how I go.
