I wish to transfer from my video tapes to my 710 HD drive.

Can any one be kind enough to inform me if this possible and if so can it be done simply.

i have a 510 and I connect a video via the front audio and video phone connections and AV1 channel selection.

That's the easiest way but not as good as using a rear scart connection which is what you should use if you want quality over convienience.

Yep - very easy - I connect the video to one of the line inputs on the back, select the correct Line input source and away you go.
