Then why don't you make a mixtape of it and put it in a professional CD box with a professional cover? .

I had to scan several times through the track listing before realising they had left LIVE FOREVER off. What the **** is up with that??? Surely it is considered one of the best OASIS songs?? It was the song that made me a fan.

That was the first Oasis song i ever heard and I can't believe it's not on the cd. Hopefully they have made a mistake as it deserves to be on there over many of the songs on that track list.

All of Definitely Maybe, some of Morning Glory, the rest take whatever, it's all filler.

I don't reckon that's the official list. For a start, they would NOT put All Around The World as the fourth track on it and leave off the better single from Be Here Now - Stand By Me. Also, Live Forever will be on it, without question. Otherwise that's just two tunes from Definitely Maybe - the album which many people, including Noel, regard as their best.

It's just crazy if they deliberately leave off better tracks just to put b-sides (which shouldn't be on there) and stuff like 'Idle' and All Around The World. Acquiesce is only any good live. The b-side itself is lame. The Masterplan isn't good enough to be on there. Half The World Away I can understand because a lot of people know it.

Anyhow, here's what tracks SHOULD be on it!

1. Rock 'n' Roll Star
2. Some Might Say
3. Don't Look Back In Anger
4. Lyla
5. Wonderwall
6. The Hindu Times
7. Supersonic
8. Live Forever
9. Go Let It Out
10. Stand By Me
11. Stop The Clocks
12. Boy With The Blues
13. Roll With It
14. Whatever
15. Champagne Supernova
16. Gas Panic! (from Familiar To Millions - brilliant Liam vocal)
17. Acquiesce (from FTM)
18. Stop Crying Your Heart Out

The order is wrong, but it's what should be happening.

I wouldn't put Lyla or The Hindu Times on there and i love what is the importance of being idle. Little by Little or Songbird or Part of the Queue should be on there!

Why the hell are there sooo many songs missing from the actual track list?...where's Let There Be Love, Songbird, Little By Little, Stop Crying Your Heart Out and Live Forever?

I don't expect it to sell that many copies since it's missing a couple of good songs there.

Anyway don't bellow at me about the tracklisting, the Sun made the list

So I got to thinking and we've spent some time with Oasis now, surely 18 tracks just aren't enough

If there has to be a Best of..............*, It has to be 2 CDs

(*not Greatest Hits because that way you can;t include b-sides)

You know i'm thinking of cancelling my order now

I pretty much agree with the listing. Would have liked to have seen Gas Panic on it though. I like the rest, alot of variety.

With only 18 spaces, your ALWAYS going to get people say "this song is missing etc" ... a double album would be nice but i think i'd prefer just the one disk.

OK, here's the official tracklist from Oasis's site -

Rock n Roll Star
Some Might Say
Talk Tonight
Lyla
The Importance of Being Idle
Wonderwall
Slide Away
Cigarettes & Alcohol
The Masterplan
Live Forever
Acquiesce (re-recorded for release as a single)
Supersonic
Half The World Away
Go Let It Out
Songbird
Morning Glory
Champagne Supernova
Don't Look Back In Anger

That isn't very pretty, is it? Noel is just crazy. No new songs, which is total crap. I don't care if Noel doesn't want any of his future songs involved with Sony, he should have at least provided something. Calling it 'Stop The Clocks' and then not having the song Stop The Clocks on it is just going to infuriate fans, as is the tracklist.

Where the hell are the following?

Stand By Me
The Hindu Times
Stop Crying Your Heart Out
(Three of their most popular and memorable singles that all the 'mainstream' crowd would like on this disc. Silly Noel for leaving them off)

Whatever
Roll With It
Shakermaker
Gas Panic! (Familiar To Millions version)
D'You Know What I Mean
Let There Be Love

they're all other contenders. The fact that The Masterplan, Talk Tonight and Half The World Away are on there is further proof that Noel has lost his mind. If you want the b-sides get 'The Masterplan' b-sides collection! This 'best of' should have been limited to a-sides and album tracks (with the exception of the newly recorded Acquiesce).

Other tracks that are seriously pushing it being on there are 'Idle' (even though the mainstream know it), Cigarettes & Alcohol (there's too many Definitely Maybe tracks, and this is the one I would take off, just BUY Definitely Maybe!), Songbird (you cannot tell me that Stop Crying Your Heart Out shouldn't be on there instead of this!) and Morning Glory (a good song but why put it on when there's big singles like Roll With It left off?)

One word - mental.

I have read they are re-recording 'Acquiesce'. When Noel was on Russell Brand 's show on radio6 last week he said they (Oasis) were 'more or less forced' (I think that's a direct quote) into doing a greatest hits. I thought they were meant to have a bit of attitude about them?

You could kind of see some value in this compilation IF all the songs were re-recorded and given an update. It's not like digital remastering will help.

So its really aimed at people who don't own any of their studio albums. The best advice to them would be to buy Definitely Maybe and Morning Glory and forget they did anything else. I got bored of Oasis when i discovered real bands.
