Great choice for a very underrated vocalist

Interesting choice, I love Black hole sun...1 of my fav songs of the 90s. Will be interesting to hear what he produces.

Good choice. He does have a deep dramatic vocal style.

Interesting choice, about as far away from Madonna as you can get!
Still think that Goldfrapp are "made for bond" tho....

Not impressed with that song at all. Solo-wise, Chris's acoustic work is much better.
Band-wise, he needs to forget Audioslave and get Soundgarden back together.

I must admit I preferred Soundgarden, but Audioslave are still good, anyway for the Bond theme anything is better than Madonna let's be honest.

Dreadful song and absolutely 100% not a Bond theme. Another pillar of the Bond franchise crumbles away, and another reason for me not to see the film.

Well that's true, and if it brings more attention to Chris's talent then I guess it's a good thing.

Sounds like a Bond theme to me. Picture it with silhouttes of models being suggestive with weapons before a colourful shaowy backdrop, and bad guys failing to hit a cow's arse with a banjo.

Then you'll see.

Cornell's working on a second solo album anyway, and Soundgarden will never happen again.

Nope - I disagree I'm afraid. I played it to my missus earlier and she said although it is an okay-ish song it really doesn't sound like a Bond theme - just like some bland filler track on a 90's college rock album. Very, very unimpressed indeed.

I'd like to see Mike Patton have a crack at the Bond Theme. He does that sinister lounge style superbly, and would be well suited. Probably never happen though...

Did she picture the silhouettes and the cow arse though?

Well it's not a Bond theme as such, but then neither was Live and Let Die or A View To A Kill and they're among the most popular.

Been getting a lot of stick, but I love it. Just the kick in the trousers the Bond movies needs. After so many bland dirges since Goldeneye and especially the atonal effort from Madonna, this is a massive improvement.

I aboslutely love this now. At first i was a bit worried but after a few listens it's fantastic and is definitely a great Bond Theme, just a bit different to what we've been used to.
