Email on Orange
When i was with O2 i had an email address from them and i had set my google email address up to forward any email it gets to the O2 address so i can pick them up when im not in or dont have access to a PC. When i was last with Orange, my old email address worked on my Nokia 6600 which i dont have anymore. But now on my Samsung D600, it wont work. I've downloaded the settings from the site and every time i try and check mail it waits for ages then tells me that my username/password is incorrect or there is a server error.
Here is the settings i have... Account Name: Orange.net UK Username: mynumber Email Address: mynumber@orange.net Reply Address: Blank User ID: mynumber Password: mypassword SMTP Server: smtp.orange.net SMTP Port: 25 Protocol Type: POP3 POP3 Server: pop.orange.net POP3 Port: 110 |

That all seems ok... except - your username should be: yournumber@orange.net while your email address will be whatever your email address is.

i changed my username to mynumber@orange.net and still it says "Invalid username or password"

Try these.......
Account name >>> Orange.net User name >>> fr3ak (NOT YOUR ACTUAL USERNAME - NO IDEA WHY!!) Email address >>> EMAIL@orange.net reply address >>> EMAIL@orange.net User ID >>> mynumber@orange.net Password >>> input POP3 Password let us know won'cha? if your still having problems you could contact 156, who can talk you thru all of the settings!!!!!!! |
