land line to internal exchange to VOIP

OK, my company is going through some changes at the min and it looks like we'll be expanding sort of, well more spreading out.

So what I am looking to do is to see if I can setup an internal PBX (which is not in place yet). Then from one or two extensions I want to be able to have remote connection, VOIP would be best. 1 to save money on call charges. 2 its easy to move from site to site.

Anyone got any suggestions?

Define 'remote connections' and exactly what calls from where to where and why.

Various ways of doing it depending exactly what you want to achieve.

Its our main number for all customers, suppliers etc. and has been for years so changing the number is to much hassel.
Want any calls to go to a pbx exchange, which is nother abnormal. This would then go to a remote location (receptionist will be working from home in most cases) Both sites have broadband and this is why i was thinking of VOIP. We are talking over 200 miles apart for each location. VPN and remote desktop are already setup for work etc.
