DHD4000 - Can you go forward 24 hours on the guide ?

I wanted to record something 5 days away but had to scroll through every tv programme to get to it.

Can't you jump forward a day at a time ?

Almost, you can select 'Calendar' from the main menu.

Do it on the calender. Pick the date you want and then it will display the guide for that day.

The calender is displayed via the menu button.

Someone didn't read their user guide...

It was a good question though. One feature I miss from our Sky+ box was being able to just press one button on the remote to move backwards or forwards 24 hours in the programme guide. Useful when setting up a weeks worth of recordings at once (especially if you are trying to record the same programme 5 days in a row).

Yeah, I know it can be done by pressing menu, selecting calendar, then choosing a new date. But pressing one button to do the same thing whilst inside the guide would be much more user friendly

Agreed must say my Mediacentre PC is easier and quicker to use than my DHD4000 (And before any smart alec says you have to boot your pc yes I know that! We are talking ease of use here!)

If the time is the same, then weekly or daily recordings are available however the "chang of time" notification does not then work!

Quite agree - it was the first thing I missed when I put the PVR in, especially as it replaces a Thomson STB that had Next Day/Previous Day buttons!

Is this correct ? I thought I had a message to tell me that DR Whos start time had been changed this coming Saturday.
Channels such as E4 and More4 are better at sticking to the correct times.

Yes it is correct.

Or at least - I've only ever had change-of-time messages on individual-recordings never on weekly timers. What really annoys me is if it's clever enough to realise that the time for the programme has changed then why can't it just update the timer setting itself rather than just sending me a message? It's no good having the little yellow message light come on when I'm away on holiday for two weeks..........

They've gone to the trouble of writing the code that checks all the timers when a new EPG is downloaded overnight - it would only be a couple more lines of code to make it update the timers too.

It seems that way, until you realise that you need to have some arbitration code in case the change means you now have overlapping timers. It suddenly becomes very complicated
