Keane- Call Me What You Like
Have A Nice Day
01-08-2006
Their debut single, shame it isn't on the first album...as the CD single has been seen to sell for well over £40 on Ebay, due to it's rareity. Good song I reckon, well all of Keane's are good actually.

I like it a lot too. I'm not sure whether that was made before they ditched the guitars or after though. Good song- though not as good as the ones on the album I think.

I like KEANE!!! Have never heard this song though. Can it be acquired from anywhere like I-TUNES?

I did come across a Keane fansite once with all of their older songs on (wolf at the door, new one.. etc) and thought I must have added it to my favourites for future reference, though I can't find it...

Yes I know a site that used to have about 12-15 "early" Keane tracks you could download, but it don't exist anymore...perhaps it was the same you used. Ohwell there maybe others like Keane.at (I think they still have a couple of songs you can download themselves).

(One of, maybe) their first ever gigs at Bull and Gate in 1998, they play Call Me What You Like and More Matey on there, both really cool. They all look so much younger then, especially Tom!

"Call Me What You Like"

With a title like that, they’re just asking for trouble

I never said it wasn't. Just a wee bit predictable.

Should the word "predictable" be used in a Keane thread??? Surely not!

*suppose THAT was predictable to! Then again, i guess you are used to it, taking abuse for liking one of the worst bands around.

Yeah I'm well used to taking abuse for my liking of Keane, so I'm not about to take any from you. I like Keane, yes, so I contributed to this thread that happens to be about them, and then a post like this comes along... If its in another thread and I'm slagging off your musical tastes and saying mine is better, then you would be more than fine to make a comment like that but considering this isn't that situation, that comment was tedious and unnecessary.

Oh yes, BeatleGod I remember you from the Keane album thread....One does wonder if you spend the same amount loving your favourite band as you do hating your least favourite band...

Too be fair, not wishing to speak on behalf of this poster, they aren't entitled to express their opinion in any manner they wish; with in reason. Personally I find sycophantic "fan" threads worse then someone who actually goes against popular opinion.

No, i dedicate everything to poisoning people against Keane. I can't even remember my favourite bands anymore, its been so long since i listened to them.....think it might have been Westlife or James Blunt though.......
