Does anyone else have a problem with Orange and their signal strength? I went to Wales recently wasn't expecting to have much signal but not having any at all is ridiculous as vodaphone manage to give full signal.

Also went to Hopton on sea in suffolk and went with a friend on O2. She had full signal whereas i had once again nothing at all!

I'm getting sick to death of Orange as they never seem to let me top up, they seem to block my phone so i cant recieve or send any txts or make any calls or i never have any signal so i can't even use my phone.

The only reason why i'm with them is my tarriff. I get 3000 free evening and weekend texts for £15 a month. No where else on Pay as You Go seem to match it.

Does anyone else have these problems with Orange or any suggestions on tarriffs like it with decent signal strength?

Hi Rhian, Check out T-Mobile. they are doing the same Offer on Pay as you go with the Unlimited free evening and weekend texts (well limited to 3000 any way) but only for a £10 top up monthly, You have to order a Sim via thier website. Plus the tariffs are much better than Oranges Pay as you go tariff as well.

Orange have better coverage than T-mobile.

Not here in Essex/East London they don't.

Do you have ANY evidence to back this up? orange is also pants where I live. It depends where you are. It may well be better where you are. The OP is already complaining that the Orange signal they have is poor so T-Mobile could be a big improvement.

Statistically Orange have more masts or something than anyone else. Although this is quite misleading as to actual coverage. They need more than O2/Voda for a start to get the same coverage as these two firms. Also it doesn't mean that they have better coverage of all areas of the UK, that depends on the actual geographic location of both the user and the masts as well as the power of the masts.

Round here I have no problems with T-Mobile, I get a signal most places I'd expect to. Orange isn't to bad either, although getting a signal round at my ex's was a nightmare.

Overall coverage of the population is better on Orange (than T-mobile) is what the above should have said. This is from published coverage data from each of the networks.

Obviously in some areas strengh is not going to be as good as other networks, however this is the same on ALL networks!!

So is that neither Vodafone nor Orange that you can get a signal from where you live?

You sure you don't live in that 'Secret Nuclear Bunker' they have in Essex?

I have excellent coverage here in south Wales with Orange. I also have a strong signal near the coast and in most locations including rural areas, compared with 02 which seems to be poor.
