Warren Zevon during his last ever performance as a dying man, doing his own final 'Mr. Bojangles' as he put it, on the Letterman Show ('Sammy woulda gone down a size wouldn't he?' he asked as he was buying the suit for what he knew would be his last performance). His breathlessness is audible, a true entertainer and professional and a great loss. Such a beautiful song too.

in my opinion a very underated band - probably as they don't conform to stereotype. This is one of my favourite songs of theirs. I seriously recommend getting their 2 albums, excellent stuff
