Good evening all.
I'm kicking tonight off with one from one of my favourite artists. A UB40 with Chrisy Hynde track never posted on here to my knowledge. Such an empowering track for me. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O97xaJIguLM |

A brilliant track this, I think. Originally performed by Don Henley on his 'End of the innocence' album, this is him performing it on The Eagles 'Hell freezes over' tour.
The lyrics really ring true to me.... New york minute: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nY7X84O4lUM Last edited by Bluenile : 14-02-2007 at 02:38. |

Another of my favourites, excellent rock tune and lyrics. Also a great video. A really American sound with a distinctive voice, great driving music

I don't remember posting this and it's one of my favourite Kate Bush songs, from her 'Hounds of love' album.

Youtube are being very annoying at the moment and removing lots of tracks linked to on this thread.
Here's a new link to an excellent A-Ha track someone posted a few weeks ago: Lifelines : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y9a8WgVJR4o Last edited by Bluenile : 14-02-2007 at 03:57. |

The song that touched me more than any other from my days working at Calderdale Sound Radio in my youth.
This was a favourite of the station manager and will remain a favourite of mine until the day I die. Masquerade with Guardian Angel. Enjoy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ox9PMO5_p7I |

Moving forward to more recent times.
Sung by my 'twin'. If I only had a pound for every time I've been told I look like Tom Chaplin (Keane singer) I would be a very wealthy man! We also share the same great birth year of 1979. The best IMO from 'Iron Under The Sea'. So cool http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_vKz27oBktE |

From an album someone at college got me into, 'Operation mindcrime' by Queensryche, which, although not a big metal fan, I was pretty impressed with.
This is 'Revolution calling': http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TIX6B2tcezA |

A bit more laid back this one, a big tune on a radio station I used to listen to called Atlantic 252.
A great power ballad that was a No.1 single in the US but didn't make the Top 40 over here: Bad English - The price of love http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4VqWc4PCE7A Last edited by Bluenile : 21-02-2007 at 00:17. |

New music from The Blue Nile, complete with great banter between the Irish audience and Paul Buchanan, performed live in Dublin last november.
Up there with their best in my opinion going off my first listen: Meanwhile: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OW1Rl0pEvGc Last edited by Bluenile : 21-02-2007 at 00:41. |

Probably a safe bet Youtube won't take this down as it is unfortunately long forgotten ( a minor hit in 1991 ) Superb lyrics and a very effective low budget video
