I've written to Channel4 complaining about the comments O'Leary made on tonight's BBLB. All that stuff about 'gays are notoriously clean' really pisses me off. There's always this underlying thought of 'considering what 'they' get up to 'they've' got to be clean'. Stats show that actually the majority of gay men do not have anal sex so give it a rest Dermot and get back in your little box

dermot has had his sexuality questioned before and when ask how he felt about that in a magazine he said 'i am fine about it' i dont think he is homophobic at all

I've gone right off Dermot O'Leary this year and would like to see the back of him but I can't really see a nasty meaning at all to that comment.
If he had said Surprisingly Gays are really clean then I think you may have cause to question it!

I see the two comments as two sides of the same coin! Why did Dermot have to SAY IT AT ALL?? Would you say 'And blacks are notoriously vegetarian'. It's just a STUPID ignorant thing to say. I doubt Dermot is intentionally anti-gay but so many things get said without thinking about it. It just gets 'accepted'
