Anyone know any ways of getting discounted international calls? We're with BT.

4p connection and ½p per minute to Canadian landlines using www.18185.co.uk (see HERE).

You don't even need to use 18185. The current cheapest provider using the price comparison service from MoneySavingExpert here costs 0.5p per minute. I have posted a link to the site only because it contains indriect access numbers for so many countries and because the prices can change daily.

If you use 18185 and you dont get through eg other party is engaged you dont pay.

However if you use dial through 0844/0870 access numbers you start paying as soon as you hit recorded announcement. So if you are not connected a min call charge of approx 5p will still be applied .
