Hi,
I've just looked on Amazon for digital cameras that come within your budget.
Here is probably the best you're looking at on there:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B...&s=electronics
If the link doesn't work just search Amazon for the Kodak Easyshare C330.
The reviews sound good, and Kodak is near the top of camera manufacturers. I had a DX7440 prior to upgrading to my current Fuji (wanted a bigger optical zoom).
4 mega pixels is more than adequate for your normal phot prints (6x4, 7x5,8x6) - realistically you'll be ok printing upto A4 size.
Just like any digital camera you will be able to view the photo's you have taken instantly on the LCD screen. If you aint happy with that photo then just delete it and take another one. Just like a camera on a mobile phone etc.
This camera takes SD memory cards - which are available online at pretty good prices. One bit of advice though - cheap/unbranded memory cards are ok for taking photos in the park, daytrips etc but if you want to be double sure that you won't lose your photos I'd recommend spending a little extra - others may disagree with me but thats just my humble opinion.
The main thing I recommend is reading the manual before attempting to use any camera - everything you need to know is in that little book.
Also, at the moment Amazon have got an offer of a free case when you buy this camera.
Here is the link to the case

Amazon say to add the case to your order and the deduction is automatically done for you (I recommend double checking the total price before paying though).
Hope all this helps, any questions just give me a shout.
