Advice On Phones...
My dad lost his Nokia 8310 on friday, there was no credit on it and it was pin/security coded. He liked that phone and wants to get a new one. He says he doesn't need bluetooth, irda or camera, but he would like it to have a FM radio if possible. I think he'd want one on Vodafone but i said go on Orange as that is what i've just gone on to. I know Tesco do cheap basic Nokia phones but i just want a bit of advice to help him decide really

Orange and vodafone are both crap. Either T-Mobile or O2 are the best. If you want another 8310 just get an unlocked one off ebay they are cheap enough.

![]() The Nokia 1100 is a good, cheap, basic phone, but no radio sorry. He should be able to pick up a new one for less than £20 Last edited by dawson : 07-08-2006 at 10:09. |

Theres a shop not far from here (East London) used to sell brand new 8310s for like £40 with extras. Don't know if they still do but my point being is you can get them well cheap now.

The Nokia 2300 might be a good bet.

I've been on Vodafone, T-Mob and O2 and I reckon O2 have been the best. Alough Ive never had a pay as you go so im not sure about that aspect of it.

Ive been on T-Mobile, Orange and currently Vodafone. At first i would not goto Vodafone what so ever it wasnt because of the customer services etc it was because of the pricing. But for what i actually use they have seemed to be the best with STC which is the best service ever! I have never had a bad experience with any network really i suppose you make things out to be bad if you cant get your own way, i left the other networks because i could not get what i wanted and that was it. T-Mobile as they did not have the 6600, Orange as they would not get me an N80 and the PP i wanted. I have called customer services on many occasions and have never had any problems with any of them what so ever, the only thing i do not understand is that alot of networks do not do 3G video calling on there PAYT sim cards such as O2 which i was annoyed with.
