Thanks It must feel great to have the security of his own place now And his mum has no more morgage worries either now I daresay. I think this is a good move for Pete. I am glad he is getting something positive out of his BB experience

Hi again!...
Interesting reading.. nice for Pete!
Yes, Adam Ant suffers from manic depression and has done all his life... it's something that really spurred him on in the early band days and when they became mainstream (moved away from punk). But it's a dreadful illness that is like a roller coaster, the highs are amazing and loads can be achieved but the lows can destroy. there is medication for it - but very hard to live with (and with a sufferer.. my colleagues husband is a manic depressive and they have had some awful times, which hopefully are now gone).
People, like Pete are out there living with all sorts of problematic conditions and illnesses.. I'm always in awe of people who can really do well despite such problems. Pete embraces his (as did Adam when young..) and this is now part of his character, a part people love... it could have been so easy for it to be a burden or stigma for him that could have inhibited him for life. A lot of praise should go to his mum and family for positive structuring.

Hi there
Just thought I'd lend my support to this thread as it is so nice to come across a positive thread amongst some of the scary stuff out there. I read various forums to catch up with bits of news, but hardly ever post myself. It worries me that so many people are motivated by hate as it is an unnecessary and very unhealthy emotion. Wouldn't the world be a much better place if we could capture negative energy, transform it into positive energy and then release it?

Anyway, I think Pete is just lovely and all the people I know who watched BB think so too. He has a fascinating mixture of characteristics and I was drawn to him from day one.

He has had to make many life changing decisions in a very short space of time lately and I imagine it couldn't have been easy. He has his whole life to consider as some have already pointed out, he is not the most employable person in the world and needs to try and secure his future now if possible.

As for the criticisms of Pete regarding going solo, in all honesty, how many unsigned musicians would truly turn down the opportunity to work with Guy Chambers? DF wasn't Petes band, it is Wobbly Bob's band. Pete now has a chance to do his own music with the help of one of the UK's leading song writers, surely an offer you can't refuse?

I think Daddy Fantastic are great (thanks to Pete, hadn't heard of them before) and would still love to go and see them when they tour. Hopefully they too will get a record deal and do really well.

Anyway, I love Pete and will be supporting him all the way . Keep this lovely thread going.

Hi Ertana

Welcome to this lovely thread

What a great first post and I echo many of your sentiments, the word hate and the hate from some on forums, almost jumps from the page and makes you gasp at times.

You are right, there is enough negativity about without it being added to in such a deep way that you sometimes have to stop and think why so much of it surrounding BB Especially now BB has finished for now. Slight/normal negativity, even jovial negativity I expect, but not such deep, and often spiteful negativity coming from some so much so, that it has me wrongly I know wondering about some peoples personalities in that they can hold such hate for people from a TV show

Although I am only really interested in how Pete is doing away from the show, good for the other ex housemates if they make something out of BB it's just that I am not interested in them really no matter what they get out of it. It was Pete who had my support in BB and now I want to know how he is faring out the BB house

Yeah Susann, there is definitely something magnetic about Pete. (helps too the fact that he is so damn beautiful). I suppose when you watch someone day in and day out for 3 months you feel as if you know them. I really liked all the other housemates (exept Lea if I'm honest) and wish them well. However, with Pete I feel like I really do care about him and want to know that he is OK and doing well. I just hope that the people 'guiding' him at the moment really do have his best interests at heart.
Have to go now but shall pop in from time to time. Keep up the good work

Hi Ertana

Welcome

I have to echo with what you and Susan have said, such hatred and negativity is not good for the soul..I've learnt in my life, to try and accept people for who and what they are, most of us are just trying to get through life, making it as pleasent as possible for ouselves and those around us.

I cant say I have any hatred or dislike for any ex BB housemate..other than perhaps in a jokey way..

I always wish them well and dont begrudge any of them them the oppotunities that might come their way after BB finishes..most are just young people looking for a break in life.

I agree Pete is a lovely. charasmatic character and it always puts a smile on my face to see him.

I'm sure the choices he has had to make over the last few days have been hard on him, but I am willing him to succeed

I've read my OK and this is the jist for those who havent read it yet....

Pete and Nikki have only met up three times since BB...one was to gget theri hair and nails done and the hairdresser messed up Petes hair and dyed the tips black...he's dyed it blonde again....but its now falling out

Pete's mum doesnt hate Nikki, she loves her..and the peple who told the press she didnt, Petes doenst even know..apart from oen girl he went to primary school with.

They have "done the deed"..Pete jokes that he licked Nikki while she lay like a sack of potatoes..LOL

Pete is hilerious..he's asked of they get married and he says he wants to get married in a field with lots of sweaty hippys, dgs and bonfires and peoplein bondage gear...he says Nikki would like ..he can tell

Asked what their children would be like, Pete says "little monsters"

He says they dont want to live together yet..and he's moving into Adan Ants old place, which is great as he's always loved him.

Pete says he is miserable at the moment because he is tired and misses his friends..he wants to go back to them and rave in the feilds...Nikki takes the edge off of it

Pete says he finds it stressful having his relationship in the public eye..and says they should pretend they have split so that peoplel leave them alone.

Pete is going to stay in touch with Richard and Lea forever

He has watched Princess Nikki..and thinks the things she has to do arent too bad..and he hasnt met his dad yet

They both want to take a holiday soon and Pete wants to own his own recording studio and write songs with his friend Garath..He's also like to do an animation and a comic book.

When asked about Guy Chambers ..he says he meeting with him and they are working together...

there is more, and I havent included much of Nikkis stuff, as this is really a Pete thread..but that is the jist of it...its better if you read it yourself though
