Ok here's the current odds

http://www.oddschecker.com/betting/m...69x/sid/903391

Can anyone have a go at explaining to me what they actually mean? this odds stuff really does baffle me.

I mean if a person has a 1/4 chance of winning is that more likely than if the person had a 1/5 chance winning?

Or am i just not making sense, probably the latter

i'm not entirely sure, but it gives me a slight confidence boost seeing that Glyn and Ash are below Nikki. I don't really think they'll let an ex-housemate win! So hopefully this means Nikki has more fans and supporters than Ash and Glyn!

I was just thinking (like always) going through the threads and such, a lot of people are convinced Pete will win and are therefore going to transfer their votes to someone else to secure them in second place or something, however if this is to happen surely Pete's chances of winning will be pretty slim?

Im constantly checking Oddschecker( though i have no idea what they actually mean) and Pete's odds seem to be drifting, whereas Nikki, Glyn and Aisleyne's are shortening, not a good sign right? or am i just worrying over nothing?
The odds are always harder to predict in a final for the bookies as the voting turns positive, so I wouldn't worry too much And the odds always shorten then with less in the BB house. Don't forget there are many who won't have a bet to change the odds but will just vote and many of them could be Pete fans

We can only do our best and hope it is good enough. It's pretty petty if some are just voting others to stop Pete from winning. They are really willing to spend their hard earnt pennies for that I actually find that quite a sad thing for them to do, but hey it's their money I remember something similar being done with Jason BB5, many were voting him to try and topple Nadia's popularity. It didn't secure him a win, it only pushed Dan, a sure fire runner up at the time into third place. Nadia still won, with an overwhelming vote percentage, the biggest in BB UK history so far I think you will find So their plan didn't succeed then, even with the Scottish vote behind Jason, so it's not likely to succeed this time either

I can't remember the exact percentage, I remember it being high and Jason being a sore loser to Nadia afterwards saying she got sympathy vote because of what she had been through. He honestly believed most voted him into 2nd place because they liked him. I can go have a quick google to see if I can find the percentage.

Really? I never realsied it was high.

I wasn't a huge Nadia fan, although I was pleased she won

I've been watching Petes odds drift a bit too and worrying, but my OH tells me he is still dead cert to win

I'll just have to vote a few more times than I intended too..just to make sure

Nadia received almost 3.9 million votes in the final week, compared with 1.3 million for Jason. Daniel got 685,995, with 347,051 for Shell.

Taken from here

At the time people were voting in their thousands for Jason and don't forget he had a fair ammount of the Scottish vote, to try and topple Nadia and still it didn't work

Thanks for taking your time to find Nadia's total amount of vote, thats pretty impressive, wow.

Can someone please explain to me, the above as im really curious as to how the odds thing works, Pete's odds have drifted from 1/5 to 1/4 then back up to 1/5 again, what does this mean? lol

Best odds for Pete (from a betters pov) are 1/4 which means you would have to gamble £4 to win £1 (outrageously long odds!)
The next closest to him is Nikki at 11/2 which means you would have to gamble £2 to win £11 which as you can see makes Pete the runaway favourite to win the show.

Best odds from that site in order of fav to least fav to win teh show:

Pete 1/4 (Out and out favourite to win)
Nikki 11/2
Glyn 17/2
Aisleyne 25/1
Jennie 33/1
Richard 50/1
Mikey 150/1
Lea 150/1
Imogen 200/1
Grace 200/1

Watching repeat : Pete mentioned being on tour with The Communards with his mum - so much for people saying he was trying to 'cover up' the fact that his mum was a 'successful' musician a few days ago .

It's rare to see so many straws being grasped to garner some (any) kind of 'criticism'.
