At least he hasn't gone running to the papers with personal stuff.
I lost all sympathy for his band when they went to the papers moaning about him quitting,and bitching about him on their forums , instead of keeeping it private.Same with Nikki , she didn't have to go running to that rag with news of them splitting . I love Pete , and Nikki and Pikki , but I just thought it was a bit cheap of her to do that.
If it hasn't worked out in the real world then so be it ...but I still like them both ...I just think that Pete is getting a lot of flack for it from the Nikki fans.

more like Ash fans actually. They just can't seem to understand that she came 3rd NOT second, even one place higher she wouldn't have won!

Just wanted to pop on and say that whatever the truth is about this break up story, I still love Pete and believe he's a good person. It's not easy for either of them at the moment with everyone having an opionion about them both as individuals and their relationship together.

I wish Pete had his own website to refute all this crap that gets said. His DF page has been pulled and his Myspace doesn't say anything new at the moment. Anyone know of another site that I haven't come across? I want truth not NOTW conjecture! I don't believe that Nikki would give them of all trash papers an interview regarding her and Pete breaking up. She'd hardly want to give them the satisfaction, that's what they wanted.

I really do think it's a case of what Pete said in their OK magazine article last week on p.67 "if we say we've split up then maybe people will leave us alone more."

Or maybe people regardless of who they support are slating Pete. I'm sure 'Ash fans' are over the fact she came third - I mean, boo hoo, third.. what a crappy placement. Maybe they should still be around claiming to feel 'sick' and 'ill' by the fact she didn't win. And people call this a pro-Ash forum! I think your comment is pretty rude and uncalled for because I haven't seen one post from an Ash fan saying 'I don't understand, Aisleyne could/should have won!'.

God I'm sick of people generalising about Aisleyne supporters.. about any supporters, because they're nearly always wrong. I'm polite enough to stay out of these threads supporting Pete and Nikki unless I've got something positive to say but your comment REALLY irritated me

Having got over the initial ''shock'' ...I have to say that for me it changes nothing. I loved Pete from about the second day , I recognise he has character flaws and weaknesses , but actually that makes me like him all the more.I think he is esentially a free spirit who fell in love with Nikki but wanted to take things slowly and more casually , but got swept up by the whole media circus and just can't cope with it. He's put on the brakes , either cooling it off temporarily or permanently. I think Nikki is lovely and entertaining but that unlike Pete she was loving the ''media couple'' stuff and this has caused problems...she wants the full-on fairytale in the public eye ...he wants to take things slow and privately ...maybe they couldn't find a compromise.Better that they split sooner rather than later if that's the case.
I hope they both do brilliantly as individuals and if they get back together it will be on their own terms.
I think we witnessed something beautiful in the house , it was real , and just because it hasn't lasted doesn't make it any less real,and I will continue to support both of them.

Funnily enough watched that too and thought the same thing..it was a mixture of things, both artists, both more entertainers than just pure rock and they both don't give a s**t about what people think of them lol.
Was quite nostalgic seeing programme and it was followed by the Stiff Fingers label tour...

nikki didnt go running to the papers - they have the same pr - that's how they all decided to handle it.

pete used nikki - there have been times since they left the house when they are at the same party for instance and he arrived an hour after her, ignored her all night - apart from when the photographer was near by at which point he would grab her and liick her face etc.
