I agree. Pete's always been one of my top three favourites and some of the threads that have been popping up during the last day or so are pretty dire.

Even if you dislike the man some things are just beyond the pale. The thread has been pulled though and the OP banned so thankfully that should be the end of that particular angle.

Exactly. Personally I wish forum members could spend more time praising their favourite HM's on their merits instead of criticising others in the hope it puts others off voting for them.

I have just looked at you forum and i find i digraceful that one of you forum members is referring to Big Brother contestant Pete as a spastic and a retard. In this day and age i can't believe that you are allowing this person to get away with this desription simply because a person has tourettes.
I do hope that hes posts are deleted and he is emailed about the error of his ways.

I really wouldn't worry about forums. They are very rarely right. Aisleyne is the underdog and forums love an underdog.

Pete is getting votes for likeability. Aisleyne will get them for sympathy.

There is a difference between underhand tactics to try and gain votes for a favourite and little forum wars in final week between fans. But that sort of post you have quoted takes things too far

I love Pete and I'm happy that he's gonna win. This is quite a weird year for me though as I really like Nikki, Glyn and Ais too. I never normally like so many in the final week!

I would rather see Pete wait and carry on this romance outside the BB house if it is to be, after all it is only just under a week away now. I agree that I don't think Pete will be worried if he didn't win as he is happier than I have seen him for a couple of weeks and although nice to see, I have to be honest and say I wish Nikki and Pete would back off each other and just enjoy the BB week, rather than spend it snogging each others faces off Am I a killjoy for saying that

Can I add please don't let all these negative Pete threads popping up in their masses put anyone off voting, or they are having their desired effect. We Pete fans could play dirty and start numerous threads about all the finalists pasts from newspaper clippings and such if we felt the need, but we don't.

If you think about it and ask yourself, why so many anti-Pete threads, more than any of the other finalists, the answer is obvious and staring you in the face. Many of the fans of the other finalists are running scarred as Pete is the main competition. That alone should tell you how popular Pete still is. Also look at the smallest things that they are looking for to try and discredit Pete, hardly anything they can find to pick fault with in the house anymore, they are resorting to going back to stuff before BB7 I call it straw clutching, I don't know what anyone else calls it


Forget the bookies odds, they tend to close in at this stage of the game, especially as more people are placing bets etc; but the bookie gamblers are not always the ones who pick up the phones to vote

I really want Pete to win! He deserves it more than anyone in the house, although I like other HMs too. He's kind, caring, honest, genuine and somebody I'd be very happy to have as a friend. I hope I get to meet him some day

I agree. The trouble is, there are 6 housemates left and they all know they are in the final week and could win along with the fact that most of them get on.

Because of this - the Nikki/Pete 'love' is dominating the highlights as BB have very little else to show us.

i dunno... imo he was the publicity stunt that became bigger than the hype, there are as many people 'annoyed' by or not 'convinced' by him as a character because of his tourettes. You only need to venture into an anti-Pete thread to find evidence of this and no ammount of logical debate, with, at times very useful medical links, will convince his army of detractors
