What are the fundemental principles of this thread? Appreciation of Pete? If so, then stick to it as any deviation from this could be considered undermining it. It also appears this thread is being used for other things though - as a "safe haven" to come and take a pop at other housemates other than Pete, and other forum members. In those cases, you can hardly blame them for coming in here to have their say.

I read this thread because of the stark lack of constructive engagement of Pete fans with other fans. I read the pro-aisleyne "to win" thread for the same reason.

Quote:
“By trying to start 'debate' here (or on any other appreciation thread) you will be met with resistance, ”

This isn't something I have done (start a debate). You are mixing me up with the original FM that "Susan" had a pop at. If you review my contribution to this thread, you will see this is the case.

Quote:
“This is hijacking, because it steers away from the specific topic and, pointedly, upsets the thread users who are using the thread to support (in this instance) Pete and eachother.”

It could be described as that if that was what I was indeed doing. However, it wasn't.

There is a singular problem on this forum, and I see it on occasion in this thread, in Susans comments about pretty words, and I see it on the pro-Aisleyne thread. That is, that if someone holds an opinion that is not entirely in lockstep with ones own ( or with those united in cause ), they are considered "evil", to have "bad motive" and to be considered an "outsider". This is very unhealthy thinking.

I don't see why you can't appreciate Pete, stop sneering at other FMs and just take on board other points of view without forming a clique about it.

Already commented on that, to get a rounded point of view. The threads in the main on the forum are hysterical, full of name calling between each fan base. The only place that fan bases seem to behave themselves is on their own fan threads - and even there they have a pop at each other.

Yes you have got it at last So you don't appreciate Pete, so why are you posting here if not to try and disrupt the thread?

Nah it's not. It's just many of us Pete fans don't feel the need to be as vocal in our support on so many other threads We let our fingers do the speaking in votes instead

Have any of you seen the latest "special bets"?
True the support for Ash ahs increased which was more or les what the entry as about, but it also said that 77% of BB fans, were said to be casting their votes on Friday.

Surprising or what?

What percent of the public do you reckon this board is?

Friday's always knock up the most votes, more so this week with six in the final. As each of the other housemates goes I believe the two gaining the most support from those leaving will be Pete and Glyn.

I don't believe the forums have too much impact on voting to be honest. True there are more people using the net nowadays. Still the forum impact will probably be minimal. It will be your casual Friday viewer who will impact the votes most.

Yes and this is where Pete and Glyn will benefit most. Cant believe this forum the last few days. Some people need to take a good hard look at themselves in their methods of supporting their chosen housemate.
